An Airdrop Between Iphone and Windows 10 by Microsoft

Microsoft provides a new way to transfer photos stored on the iPhone (or Android device) to a PC. You need to install the Photos Companion mobile application, then open the Photos application on Windows 10, click on “Import” then “From the mobile network over Wi-Fi” and scan with your iPhone the QR code that appears on the PC.

It’s not as seamless as an AirDrop from iPhone to Mac, but it’s less of a hassle than loading on OneDrive or using a cable. The Photos Companion application has been designed especially for students who want to transfer their photos to their school PCs.

Wi-Fi transfer is not yet deployed on all PCs. If the function does not appear in your home, go to the settings of the Photos application and activate the “extras” (the experimental functions).
