A leaked screenshot hints that the AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT will be coming to market in April, a card previously rumored for release this month. The leak also seems to show a new driver update with support for DirectX 12.
The Radeon RX is AMD’s flagship series of graphics cards, and they’re coming out soon. The 6950 XT will be available at a price point of $499 USD – just in time for the upcoming year’s most popular PC gaming titles like Battlefield 1 and Mass Effect Andromeda.

According to a new rumor published by Coreteks, the Radeon RX 6950 XT, one of AMD’s predicted Radeon RX 6000 Series updates, would be released as early as April. This graphics card will allegedly have 18 Gbps RAM, which is a 2 Gbps boost over the Radeon RX 6900 XT’s specs. Coreteks also states that AMD has no plans to introduce a Radeon RX 6850 XT, implying that the current RDNA 2 flagship will be the only one to receive an upgrade.
The 6950XT is expected to be released in mid-April. As far as I’m aware, there is no 6850XT or similar device.

The AMD Radeon RX 6950XT with 18 Gbps RAM is expected to be released in April (VideoCardz)
- This is far sooner than Greymon55 predicted, who thought the series wouldn’t arrive until at least June.
- The primary purpose of the AMD Radeon RX 6x50XT series is to increase memory speed to 18 Gbps, which is a tiny 12.5 percent spec gain on paper but might put AMD ahead of certain newly revealed GeForce RTX 30 and forthcoming Intel ARC graphics cards.
Moore’s Law Is Dead recently released speculations of Radeon RX 6000 Series updates, which Corteks’ knowledge contradicts. AMD will offer upgraded versions of the Radeon RX 6900 XT, Radeon RX 6800 XT, and Radeon RX 6700 XT, all of which will be constructed on the same 7-nanometer technology as their normal siblings, according to the leaker. He also says that NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will be beaten by the Radeon RX 6950 XT.
The next 6950 XT, 6850 XT, and 6750 XT are all on the same 7nm node as their predecessors, which I can now confirm.
That still leaves room for an above 10% boost when combined with 18Gbps memory, & thus I still expect the 6950 XT to be a far better product than the 3090 Ti.
